Aspiring culinary school student.

I live in the Bay Area (northern California), and I am a senior at a 4-year college. After I graduate, however, I am interested in going to culinary school for about a year, while at the same time applying to graduate school (in Psychology, totally unrelated...), and writing my book. There seem to be a ton of good schools in San Francisco, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good schools in San Jose / Saratoga / Campbell / Sunnyvale, etc. Thank you.

Yes, that does help, thank you!

I'm not sure what sort of degree I want. I guess one that would enable to actually work somewhere in the future, if I find myself in need of a job or if things don't work out with Psychology. Like, ideally somewhere with accreditation, a good reputation, and externship/internship that would let me work in an actual establishment. With community college, it seems like you have to be a lot more self-motivated about finding a job, contacting places, and "tooting your own horn". I'd like more of a "simpler" route, I guess, even if that means paying more money.

Cookery is not chemistry. It is an art.
